Bridge 2 Self ("B2S," "we," "us") is a community and media project for Africans raised between worlds. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
When you join our email list, we collect your email address and the date you signed up. That's it. We don't ask for your name, location, or anything else on this site, and we don't use tracking cookies or advertising pixels here.
How we use it
Your email address is used for one purpose: to send you updates about Bridge 2 Self — including when the podcast relaunches and information about how to join the B2S Table. We won't use it for anything unrelated to B2S.
Who we share it with
We don't sell, rent, or trade your email address — ever. Your information is stored with our email service provider, Kit (kit.com), which processes it on our behalf so we can send you emails. That provider is contractually limited to handling your data for us and has its own privacy and security obligations. Beyond that, we would only disclose information if legally required to.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click and you're out — no questions, no hoops, no "are you sure" chains. You can also email us directly (address below) and we'll remove you.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your address is removed from our active list. You can also request full deletion of your information at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
Wherever you live, we honor the basics: you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we'll respond promptly.
Children
This site and our email list are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has subscribed, contact us and we'll remove the address.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and adjust the effective date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell subscribers by email.
